WHAT IS LASER THERAPY? Laser therapy is a medical treatment that uses focused light to stimulate a process called photobiomodulation, or PBM. During PBM, photons enter the tissue and interact with the cytochrome c complex within mitochondria. This interaction triggers a biological cascade of events that leads to an increase in cellular metabolism, decrease in pain, reduction in muscle spasm, and improved microcirculation to injured tissue.

Dr. Derek Page graduated from the chiropractic program at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia in 2012. He received the Academic Excellence Award in 2011, and the X-Ray Excellence Award in 2012.

Dr. Derek lives an active lifestyle and he has completed multiple half marathons, full marathons, ultramarathons, and long distance cross country ski races.

Dr. Derek enjoys treating a wide range of conditions in all ages, calling on his athletic background, twelve years of clinical experience, and his continuing education to aid his clinical diagnostic decisions.

His treatment consists of manual adjustments, soft tissue releases, joint mobilizations and manipulations, and he offers laser therapy and acupuncture treatments when it’s indicated. He likes to promote the transition from passive care (care from the chiropractor) to active care (exercises, stretches and lifestyle changes) to empower his patients to live their healthiest and fittest lives.
